What a restaurant! The pizza is heavenly and the steak is the best we have eaten in Italy so far - beating even the concept restaurant we visited only yesterday! If you love good food and a great ambience and you want to enjoy yourself this is the place to buy Gallega steak!
Great experience at Plomo last night. The food is superb, the staff is amazing and the location style is top-notch!
Cousy restaurant, among the best in town. Meat is very good, served on a hot plate. Good selection of spirits, especially red wine
Excellent service, helpful staff
The food is very good
We ate pizza and pasta and a wonderful gigantic steak
This place deserves 5 stars but I'll explain why I gave it 3.
4 STAR PLACE: nice place, furnished with style, a little dark for my taste because there are only low lights but nothing to say. It also has a truly beautiful outdoor terrace;
5 STAR FOOD: I'll start by saying that we had a pizza each and I must say that it was really good, excellent ingredients and crunchy and tasty dough, nothing to say;
3 STAR PRICE: the sore points begin... Paying 3 Euros for a cover charge in Reggio Calabria is really a lot, it's the first place I've found (I've been to a lot of restaurants) with such a high cover charge. 750 cl water. This is also expensive at 3 Euros, the cost of the pizzas is in line while the coffee has a budget price, it costs 1 Euro
PERSONAL 1 STAR: I would have put 0 but I put one for the last thing I will write. The lady, I think she is the owner, asked us if we wanted anything else after finishing the pizza, after telling her no she showed up with the bill, something that has never happened... I find this behavior unpleasant because it makes it clear that you have to get up and leave. Not only that, time to go to the bathroom he comes to the table asking me if I want to pay at the table, to my annoyed reply that I will pay at the cash register, after my wife arrives at the bathroom table he replies "no but I don't want to rush her".. It should be noted that both inside and outside there were no people waiting for the table. In the end he took 1 Euro off my bill, which is why I gave it one star.
Honestly, it was unusual to find a place of this category in Reggio: it was time to move away from the classic concept of a place where you can gorge yourself at prices that are far too low for the quantity/quality served.
To our great disappointment, we only discovered the existence of gourmet pizzas when the starter was brought to us. We will definitely be back to try them!
Starter: Selection of cured meats and cheeses, accompanied with lemon and orange compote.
Meat: Argentine Black Angus Kube roll.
Meat: Prussian beef ribeye (boneless rib eye).
Dessert: elderberry panna cotta.
All delicious and according to my personal taste, I would have preferred to taste more of the elderberry in the dessert. The meat was served rare with coarse sauces, cherry tomatoes and rosemary.
The friendliness and maximum attention of the waiters were much appreciated: light and calm tones, always smiling (despite the use of the mask).
Should we choose to have dinner or lunch in this place again, we will opt for the internal sauce.
Excellent value for money!
Rushed service, bordering on rude. Tables stuck together. Average pizza. Tiramisu with too much sugar, too little cocoa and no coffee!
Really beautiful and welcoming location, friendly and smiling staff (now a rarity). Excellent menu for those who love meat, even the pizzas are really well made and offered with unusual combinations.
Excellent starters and side dishes, good dessert options, although I would have liked something unusual and original that would tempt me even after a sumptuous dinner.
The wine list is good and among the beers there are very interesting labels.
I will have to return to try other dishes.
